LONDON, – Throughout the year 2017, the value of digital currencies bitcoin skyrocketed to touch the highest level throughout history. However, bitcoin is not the only digital currency whose value is shot.

Ethereum is the second largest digital currency after bitcoin. Until December 25, 2017, according to data CoinMarketCap, ethereum value reached its highest record, which is 850 US dollars or about Rp 11.4 million with a market capitalization of 82 billion US dollars.

Digital currency investor Oliver Isaacs believes that ethereum will be as successful and profitable as bitcoin. According to Coindesk data on Thursday (28/12/2017), bitcoin value perched at the level of 15,296 US dollars or approximately USD 206.4 million.

Isaacs is a graduate of the London School of Economics, UK. He describes himself as an entrepreneur and a digital currency investor, earning 10,000 percent of the investment in digital currency over the past few years.

In early 2017, Isaacs bought ethereum for just 14 US dollars per coin or about Rp 189,000. The current ethereum investment is worth more than 300 US dollars, equivalent to Rp 4 million.

Isaacs said, currently bitcoin is clearly the market leader in terms of value per coin. In addition, bitcoin is also the most popular and widely used digital currency.

“However, I predict that ethereum will have the best long-term potential compared to other digital currencies, because of its versatility and smart contracts,” Isaacs was quoted as saying by British Express.

According to Isaacs, the digital currency he chooses as an investment instrument is what gives value or usefulness, its application in everyday life in the future, and has solid growth. Thus, he chose a digital currency whose value is not too high and not widely known.
